TikTok font generator
Type your text and copy it in bold, italic, script, small caps, circled and more styles for your TikTok name, bio or captions. Free, no sign-up, and it all happens in your browser.
How it works
TikTok doesn’t let you change fonts in your name or bio. What you can do is use different characters. Unicode, the standard that covers every alphabet and emoji, includes sets of letters designed for mathematics and typography: bold, italic, script, double-struck and others. They look like styled versions of normal letters, and because they’re characters rather than formatting, they survive copying and pasting into TikTok. This tool swaps each letter for its styled twin.
Where to use fancy text on TikTok
- Your name. The bold name on your profile (not your @username) can include styled characters. TikTok allows up to 30 characters, and the generator shows each style’s count.
- Your bio. A single styled word, such as a heading or your niche, stands out without making the bio hard to read. The bio limit is 80 characters.
- Captions and on-screen text. Use sparingly. A styled first word can draw the eye.
Your @username can’t use these characters: usernames are limited to letters, numbers, underscores and full stops. Our username generator helps there.
Readability and search: the trade-offs
Styled characters look like letters to people, but to software they’re different symbols. That has consequences worth knowing:
- Screen readers may read them letter by letter as mathematical symbols, or skip them, which makes your profile harder to use for people with visual impairments.
- Search may not match them. If people search TikTok for “Maya Bakes”, a name written in script characters may not come up as reliably as plain text.
- Some devices lack fonts for rarer styles and show empty boxes instead.
A good compromise: keep the words people would search for in plain text, and use a style only for decoration, such as a single word or a symbol.
Which styles display most reliably
Bold, italic, bold italic, sans and monospace are widely supported on modern phones. Small caps and circled letters usually display well. Fraktur, double-struck and upside-down text are fun but more likely to show gaps on older devices. Strikethrough and underline use combining marks, which some apps render unevenly. Paste into your TikTok draft and check how it looks on your own phone before saving.
Ideas
- A bold name with a plain niche after it: “𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐚 · sourdough and pastries”.
- Small caps for a tagline: a quiet, tidy look that still reads clearly.
- One styled word in a caption’s first line to signal a series, like “𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝟮”.
Pair a styled name with a clear bio from our bio generator, and a profile that looks the part makes every visitor count. If you also want the follower count to match, see our packages.
Step by step: changing your TikTok name
- Type your name above and tap Copy next to the style you like.
- In TikTok, go to your profile and tap Edit profile.
- Tap Name, clear it, paste and save.
- Look at the profile on your phone. If you see boxes or question marks, pick a more widely supported style.
TikTok limits how often you can change your name, so check the result in a draft or your notes app before saving.
Mixing styles
You can combine outputs: copy a bold version of your name, then type a plain-text niche after it, or add a small-caps tagline on the second line of your bio. Mixing two styles at most keeps it tidy. Every style sits alongside emoji, but remember both count towards character limits: 30 for your name and 80 for your bio. The counter under each style shows the length of that version; some decorative styles add invisible marks that make text longer than it looks.
